I loved this and it made me think a bit of something Morgan Housel wrote (I’m going to butcher it): “With enough information everything makes sense.”

The way I’ve thought about this in the context of friendships/relationships is that we all have so many layers, and sometimes we reveal layers that don’t attract others, and then reveal the ones that do, or viceversa. So that’s a way I’ve learned to be discerning—telling myself “there is more to this person than I know,” but also telling myself that I’m not obliged to get to know a person to the point I find their redeeming qualities (that’d be exhausting). Just the mere idea that they may have something about them that I like, but won’t get to see is enough for me to try to be more graceful with people I don’t gel with (at least that’s what I’m actively practicing).

Quote for website: Reading Charlie is like reading an older sister who is an excellent story-teller: candid, hilaruous, thoughtful, and in sharing her experiences, I always take something to reflect about in my own life.

Miss you, friend.
