This part is only one sentenceof this great piece. But it sums up every single moment of having two kids and getting into the car.

“As we walked to the car, after Layla had collapsed on the floor because George pressed both buttons, and I brought her to a different door so she could press a button, and we paused at the outside benches for a snack because we couldn’t possibly make it home without sustenance…”

The buttons, the snacks… so much right there.
