Hhm!those cookies must be super yummie 😋based on the description.Very thankful also for the ‘Zones of Genius’ four categories.
Before I concluded reading your write up,I began to fix mine into the four categories too. Just hearing about it for the first time,it’s helpful to know one’s strength and weakness.
Hahaha. I believe in you, Sandra! Although I wouldn't attempt without a food scale and an electric mixer... and a day where you don't have much going on. :)
Aww Tommy!! Thank you. So happy to have another Christmas elf among us. It's been difficult to not start playing Christmas music... I'm trying to hold off until mid-November!
I have now added "taste Charlie's chocolate chip cookies" to my bucket list. I will find a way to motivate you to be in your Zone of Excellence for at least one more day :)
"Hell yeah or no" is a good philosophy but tough to execute on things we're good at. There's also path dependency — continuing things just because that's what we've always done. Thanks for the reminder to edit. It's ok to say no.
I agree it can be tough. What I've been leaning into lately is paying attention to that dread feeling. Because no matter how good I am at something, I don't like to feel the anxiety and dread attached to it.
You taught me a new term: path dependency. Makes sense. There is a fear of the unknown with change. Sticking to the same path is comfortable and easy.
My wife dressed up our son as a mandrake from Harry Potter.
omg so stinkin cute.
My wife dressed up as a ghost this year (like all other years). She's hard to find.
Better go find your boo
Hahaha
Camilo 😂
It IS the Maldon salt on top!!
Hahaha you know it, Bradley!
This categorization system seems really useful. A new perspective! Thank you for sharing. 😀

Thumbs up 👍 and 👏 for that!!!😊
Absolutely, Olufunmi! It's a fun exercise.
Yes--we need you in your Zone of Genius lip syncing forever! Occasionally, the elves can borrow you to bake cookies.
I'm going to meditate on this cookie recipe. I'm pretty sure this lives in my Zone of Incompetence.

I loved this Charlie. Excellent, as always. And I’m so here for the Christmas writing... never too early to get into the holiday spirit.
I’m counting down the days to Christmas & your memoir :)

The dread — yes. It's the somatic message for: "Ugh don't do this if you can avoid it!!"
