"This whole cry-when-I-initiate-a-hard-conversation thing was becoming a pattern." The hard conversations are always, well, hard to have. I, too, find myself doing this.

Ugh, Ororo! I hope this gets easier because the crying thing is never part of my plan lol.

Right? But when does anything ever go to plan. I consider myself an Introverted Empath, so sometimes it seems like My Feels are just under the surface. So, for me, whenever I wanted to have the "hard convo", the urge to cry was coming from a place of frustration and resentment; I knew what I wanted to say would never really get said because I was sparing feelings. It filled me with dread that this person avoided the hard talks and I was frustrated at the person for making me feel that way. It was kind of a vicious cycle. Does it get easier? Possibly. When you get to be my age (over 50) and you have zero fucks to give.

I love this. I love this because it's such a different experience than my own, but yet moments still felt SO relatable. I laughed OUT LOUD at the 'That would be a great Blog Post...' As always, Tuesday's are more fun with your writing. Thank you!

Thank you so much, Emma! When my sister told me I said that I was like ewwwww, lol, I don't remember that AT ALL and can also totally picture me saying it.

Your honesty is so endearing, Charlie.

Bubbles can indeed turn into billboards. Perhaps your ones are like the ones from the film, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, that speak to a story that needs an airing

I loved this Charlie.

As a younger sibling by 23 months my brother was also in the grade above me. A lot of your experience resonates. Sharing a room, not wanting to share friends, athletics.

Thank you for writing & sharing :)

Thanks, Tommy. I'm reading The Liars Club by Mary Karr right now and it's really cool how she writes about memories from her childhood that include her sister. They clearly did not get along or see eye to eye, so she'll write her version of things and then be like, "If my sister were to tell it, she'd say" and then write something completely opposite. I love this approach.

This brought back memories of when my little brother INSISTED on sleeping in my room even though I hated it. Now I only have fond feelings for those memories.
