Charlie, I've spent YEARS in therapy overcoming my unworthiness that stems from writing Diane a special message on her valentine in the 4th grade, only to learn she wrote a special message to my best friend Scott. Your reflection takes me right back to feeling the emotional pit in my stomach. The good news - is I feel worthy while writing this - so the therapy worked!
Hahaha awwww yes, so many brutal feels at that age! It is now a part of your story with Diane, which is incredible that you two have known each other that long.
Wow!🤩 That cake was indeed a gift from the heart which he seemed not to appreciate. Something of such happened to me at my work place whereby a colleague didn’t appreciate a stainless cup with lid I presented as a valentine gift.Though she never told me it wasn’t good, someone else did, letting me know she wants something bigger with the look on her face.
I think valentine’s gift should be a heartfelt expression and not a pleasing attitude.
In high school, when I no longer have feelings for Timmy, I will finally tell him about the cupcake. He will laugh in my face, and then, seeing my reaction, will apologize.
The Valentine's cards!! Man, I so remember going to the store and having my Mom buy us those. I'm trying to remember if I gave one to my crush as well, Chris Tiller, but I honestly don't remember. Lordt! Boys are so stupid!

Who wouldn't want a stainless cup with a lid?? Such a great, practical gift!
...the punchline really got me on this...fugging timmy...
Pretty sure he threw it right in the trash can, too. ...Such a waste.
Oh my god, this just brought back so many embarrassing stories of unrequited love for me. It's a whole genre.
*Sigh* Indeed, Camilo, indeed.
Get it together Timmy! He didn’t know what he was missing. More importantly HBD sweet Layla!
