I'm not a mom of a human but to me a parent and child relationship is important in all times of life. But that also means that the parent will do what is necessary for them to make and keep the relationship working well together. I don't know if I could personally let go of my child for so long at such a young age but if I had to work I might have to do the same thing. Good luck with the transitions.
